it's a grand night for singing!

The long-awaited Commencement Concert took place tonight. For many of us, it was bittersweet; knowing it was summer, but yet knowing that you would never see some of these people again, friends or not. For some of us, it hasn't quite hit us yet. The seniors, after tomorrow, are GONE. My class is the new sen10r class. There were quite a few girls crying. There was a guy squealing in joy, talking about how he'd never have to sit in these chairs again or walk through these hallways... Which caused MORE girls to cry.

But onto the concert itself. It went a lot better than I ever expected. Not only did the other four tenors in Chapel Choir sing, but we knew our notes (miraculously) and sounded GOOD. Mrs. Berg was all smiles! Speaking of Mrs. Berg, in choir practice, EVERY day, Chris Majeske, Jake Theurer, and I made up our own choreography a little. We did some things a little different in "Will It Go 'Round in Circles", like being a little more active in the beginning (which she smiled at tonight) and doing a sweet hair flip at the end. But for "Unwritten" (yes, the song by Natasha Beidingfield), we would move the way we felt, actually reaching for something in the distance and imitating the rain falling on our skin. Well, during the concert tonight, as Mrs. Berg was directing us, SHE STARTED DOING OUR MADE-UP CHOREOGRAPHY. We almost had to stop! It was all we could do to contain our laughter! My smile was the biggest I think it's ever been... She sure pulled a fast one on us! I mentioned it to her after the concert, and she said, "And they thought this entire time, I wasn't watching them!" Ha... The sophomore chorus was pretty good with their "At the Hop". Ali Wine was so into it that I couldn't help but laugh. Concert Choir had a song I liked, and Hardin Street Harmony's "Coffee in a Cardboard Cup" has got me SO super psyched for HSH next year! Can't wait!

My brother's playing Final Fantasy X for the first time. I'm trying not to pay attention so I'm still surprised when I play through it myself. It would be easier if World of Warcraft would download faster! I've heard WoW is more addicting than cocaine. I sure hope I get a job and exercise routine this summer.

Well, WoW is taking a while, so I'll just play the version where it streams from the internet. Have a good summer and all that jazz!
